Low Flash Point Residual Fuels in Singapore

In the past week, FOBAS have tested a number of samples from Singapore which were ordered as ISO-F-RMG380 grades. A number of these samples, when tested, revealed flash points below the 60°C SOLAS minimum limit.

The tested results ranged from 35 to 47 °C. Any fuel with a flash point significantly lower than the SOLAS limit, should be considered as an immediate safety concern.
